The FIBA World Cup isn’t just another tournament—it’s the pinnacle of international basketball. With the NBA dominating the sport, our challenge was to elevate the FIBA World Cup as the ultimate global event. The 2027 edition in Qatar needed to make a powerful statement. “Step It Up” became the rallying cry: uniting players, teams, fans, and the host nation around the drive to push beyond limits.
The brand concept centres on a dynamic, map-based design, envisioned as an infinite playground. This visual metaphor highlights the journey to greatness, incorporating basketball court markings, Qatari cultural patterns, and Doha’s iconic architecture. A custom made typeface in Latin and Arabic empowers the brands’ unique expression. The result is a powerful identity system that blends competitive fire with regional storytelling—elevating both the tournament and its host.
